Having a second photographer is a must.  Moments are captured that are behind the scenes or when the couple is not aware, that can really round out the group of images and make your album look fantastic.  That is why I always bring a second photographer and still work as a second photographer for others.  Second shooting keeps my eye fresh and it is great to work with other talented photographers in the area.  Recently, I worked with Heather Fowler http:// heatherfowlerphoto.com  who  also agrees with bringing a second shooter along. One person can not possibly capture all that is going on during your special day.

Tracey and Cedric are getting married next Friday and wanted a photo for their signature mat.  So, off to the Museum of Art we go!  What a wonderful couple to work with – laid back and easy going – and getting more comfortable in front of the camera. I loved the bright orange shirt Tracey had on, so I used it as an accent by choosing a background that was warm toned, which allows the palette to be harmonious and puts the focus on them – with a bit of orange to spice it up.  It is important to me to incorporate the clothing and individual style of my couples in my work, and not to turn them into people they aren’t.

Rebekah and Sunil chose to have their engagement session at LOVE Park.  After many rainy days, we were finally able to shoot!  It is always great to work with couples in a casual setting, letting them become comfortable in front of the camera before the big day.  Finding a location that may be special to the couple or making suggestions about places that I feel would make exciting, fun photos is key to a smooth shoot.
